Marvell Spica PAM4 DSP

The Perseus and Spica Gen2 from Marvell Technology, Inc. are optical PAM4 digital signal processors (DSPs) that can be used in AI, accelerated computing, and cloud services applications by optimizing the performance, bandwidth, and efficiency of the optical links connecting data infrastructure. The Perseus is a 400/800 Gbps 5-nm device that monolithically integrates an optical DSP, transimpedance amplifier, and VCSEL driver. It is optimized for active optical cables and short-reach single-mode interconnects up to 500 m. The Spica Gen2 is an 800 Gbps 5-nm optical DSP optimized for longer-reach connections and can reduce the power consumption of products to below 12 W.
